Quadarc 2.0 is a design software program developed to design brilliant cut diamonds and fancy shapes with curved girdles such as marquise, pear, oval and cushion shapes. High calculation speed and easy operation were the main elements designing this program.
This shape is projected on the screen as a 3D wire frame that can be rotated in various positions by means of mouse-controlled gliders.
The modelling can be done by means of input of figures by keyboard or graphically by changing the wire frame. The data of the crown, girdle and pavilion are separated in different parameter folders.

With the selection buttons a basic shape is selected. This shape is then modelled to the required dimensions.
These data are calculated:

• The dimensions of the polished stone: weight in ct and diameter and height in mm
• The proportions of the shape, in % of the diameter
• The angles and indices of all main facets in °

Furthermore there is a possibility of maximising the dimensions of a polished shape within the limitations of height, width and length of a measured rough stone.
